SNSD’s Jessica showers Krystal with hugs and kisses


The Jung sisters have always been known for being affectionate with each other, and another instance of their closeness was recently caught on camera!

An online community board shared a video of the sisters on stage for the ending of the ‘2011 KBS Music Festival‘, held on December 30th. As a custom of music shows, all of the artists gathered on stage to bid their last farewells before the program ended.

Upon seeing her sister Krystal, Jessica rushed over with open arms, immediately grabbing her by the cheeks and planting kisses on her face. Although Krystal looks cool and uninterested, Jessica carries right on, reaching around for a back hug.

Netizens commented, “She’ll do anything for her sister,” “Looks good,” “Jessica really loves Krystal,” and “To think there was a side like this to the ice princess.”

120103 Girls’ Generation members Jessica and Yuri are working hard to study acting


Girls’ Generation members Jessica and Yuri are busy studying up on how to become a great actress.

The two girls will be trying their hand at acting for the very first time, and have been receiving acting guidance and advice from a veteran actor.

A representative from their agency SM Entertainment remarked, “An experienced veteran is teaching the girls the very basics of acting every rookie should know – character analysis, vocalization, and breathing. The other singers trying their hand at acting also learn the basics, and Jessica and Yuri are no exception. The girls are working hard as to not disappoint their fans.”

Girls’ Generation promotions for their third full-length album came to a close in December of 2011, and the girls will be focusing on individual promotions for the beginning of 2012, giving Jessica and Yuri a chance to develop themselves as actresses.

Yuri has been cast as the female lead ‘Anna’ in the new SBS drama, ‘Fashion King‘ due to air in March, while fellow member Jessica has also been cast as actor Lee Dong Wook‘s past lover in KBS 2TV‘s ‘Violent Romance‘ which is scheduled to air sometime this April.

It’s the current trend in the entertainment industry for idol singers to make their debut on the small-screen, and Jessica and Yuri are jumping on the same bandwagon. As soon as the news of the girls spread, people in the industry have been showing their interest and are curious to see how the girls will perform.

Drama staff members themselves also have high expectations. According to ‘Fashion King’ outsourcing production company ‘Lee Kwan Hee Productions‘, Yuri proved that she was more than capable of displaying various emotions on cue, and they’re not the least bit worried about her, despite Yuri being a rookie actress.

The performers of the show gathered on the stage during the closing ceremony of the 2011 KBS Gayo Daejoon,all the stars are seen greeting each other on the stage.

However,Jessica gave her sister Krystal a kiss and back hugged her.

American entertainment site, ‘Just Jared’ introduced Girls’ Generation as the group to watch out for in 2012.

Through its official site on December 2nd, ‘Just Jared’ stated, “Girls’ Generation and Snoop Dogg’s ‘The Boys’ is the first pick of the year for JustJared.com and 102.7 KIIS FM’s JJ Music Monday!”

‘Just Jared’ is an entertainment site that brings news on American pop culture trends as well as photo galleries of famous celebrities. KIIS radio channel’s Assistant Program Director and Music Director, Julie Pilat said, “The K-pop movement has been spreading like wildfire worldwide thanks to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Girls’ Generation is definitely a group to keep an eye on for 2012.”

Ahead of their drama debut, Yuri and Jessica are in the midst of learning and working hard to sharpen their acting skills. Recently, they have been putting their focus on receiving guidance and acting tips from a veteran acting instructor.

A representative from SM Entertainment said, “From the acting instructor, Yuri and Jessica have been receiving lessons on character analysis, vocalization, breathing, etc which is a prerequisite for a newcomer. After mastering the basics of acting, Yuri and Jessica are working very hard to meet the fans’ expectations”.

With Girls’ Generation’s promotional activities for their 3rd album ended at the end of December 2011, the members will be concentrating on their individual activities during the first half of 2012. During this period, Yuri and Jessica will be focusing on their acting stints.

Yuri will be taking the role of Anna in SBS drama ‘Fashion King’ which is expected to go on air starting March. After concluding the promotions for Girls’ Generation’s third full album in December 2011, all that remains are solo schedules for each member. During this period of time, Yuri and Jessica plan to concentrate all their efforts in acting.

When news surfaced that Yuri and Jessica will also be joining the trend of idol actors and actresses, this garnered the utmost interest among fans. Three new pictures of Jessica were sent to KakaoTalk users who added Girls’ Generation to their friends list. In the first two pictures, she is seen sitting inside what appears to be a restaurant. In one picture she is looking down at her phone, while she is smiling brightly into the camera for the other picture. The final picture showed Jessica posing together with her sister, Krystal.

For anyone who hasn’t downloaded the KakaoTalk application, it is currently free to download on iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. KakaoTalk recently added a “Plus Friends” feature which allows users to receive unique content and updates from several different K-pop artists, such as Girls’ Generation. To add Girls’ Generation to your friends list, you can go to the “Friends” tab within the KakaoTalk app, click on “See All”, and then click on Girls’ Generation to add them. At the time that this article is being written, Girls’ Generation has 570,844 friends on KakaoTalk, and they were also the fastest “Plus Friend” star to reach 200,000 friends.

Girls’ Generation featuring Snoop Dogg’s “The Boys” is featured on multi-media entertainment website Just Jared as their Music Monday choice.

This remix of “The Boys” is one of the eight tracks in Girls’ Generation’s U.S. Maxi Single, “The Boys”. The digital EP contain the original song as well as remixes by famous names such as Teddy Riley, Snoop Dogg, and Clinton Sparks. Released on December 20, the digital EP can be purchased here on iTunes.
